Private lessons are $75 and last about an hour each. This is a great option for dogs that need one-on-one training, may not benefit from a group class right away, have a history of reactivity, or if you desire specific cues taught.

Group Classes

Our group classes run for 6 weeks for about an hour a week and cost $175, with a 7th week reserved as a make-up class. Weekly curriculum is not set in stone so we can stay flexible and focused on a fun and positive experience filled with life skills and basic obedience. We offer novice, intermediate, and advanced classes.

I am a certified trainer through the Victoria Stilwell Academy, specializing in positive, force-free training. As a “crossover” trainer, I previously used balanced methods, but I shifted my approach after realizing that dogs learn best when they feel safe, respected, and free from stress. Dogs are sentient beings who deserve both kindness and fair expectations.

My passion is helping create a harmonious relationship between dog and handler—where expectations are clear, dogs are rewarded for their work, and a lifelong bond is built on trust and respect.

I’ve been immersed in the dog world for over 20 years. It began when I was just 9 years old, showing in Junior Handling with a Schipperke, and by 11, I had my first show dog. I went on to handle my Bouvier des Flandres to his American, Canadian, and United Kennel Club Championships, along with several Rally titles.

From there, my journey continued into obedience, sport training, and eventually behavioral work. Some of the challenges I faced with my own dogs, particularly my Bouvier, opened the door to working more deeply with training and behavior. For over a decade, I specialized in working with reactive and aggressive dogs, which gave me invaluable experience and insight. While I learned a great deal from those years, the most important shift in my career came when I transitioned from balanced methods to force-free training. Along the way, I’ve been fortunate to have incredible mentors who poured their knowledge into me, encouraged me to grow, and guided me in shaping a more compassionate, science-based approach to training.

At home, life is full and lively with my five dogs: Naughty, a wirehaired pointing Griffon; Rhett, a yellow Lab; Sky, a German Shepherd; Reagan, a Pomeranian mix; and Yeti, a Bouvier des Ardennes.

I grew up in Europe where my love for large breed dogs started. My current dogs are two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, which accompany me on my daily hikes. I have extensive experience with behavior modification and reactive/aggressive dogs. My special interests are multiple dog households, socialization, and managing pushy dogs. My goals include building mutual trust and positive partnership.

I’m lucky enough to share my life with three amazing Australian Shepherds—Koda, Kenai, and Maya—who keep me on my toes and fill my days with joy. Over the years, I’ve taught them lots of tricks and life skills, and I love seeing how much they enjoy learning and working with me. Training has become one of my favorite ways to connect with my dogs, and it’s what inspired me to help others do the same. I know firsthand how rewarding it is to watch your dog grow in confidence and understanding, and I enjoy guiding people through that journey. Whether it’s teaching a new skill, building everyday manners, or just finding fun ways to engage with our dogs, I believe training should always strengthen the bond we share with them.
